Silvester Stallone is one of the greatest actors of our time and the most famous star in cinematic history. He was born on July 6, 1946, in New York City and people all over the world probably know him for his role in Rocky movies. This lead him to become the biggest action star in this industry. But, as all successful actors, he had a difficult childhood.
He and his brother Frank were significantly affected by their parents’ turbulent relationship, which later ended in divorce and Stallone spend some of his early years in foster care. When he was five, his father moved the entire family to Washington D.C. He owned there a beauty parlor chain Stallone lived there for years after his parents divorced. During that time, he had a lot of emotional problems, which lead him to be expelled from several schools.
After a few years, he left his father and moved to Philadelphia to live his mother and her second husband. Stallone attended there a special school for troubled youth and started American College in Switzerland. On this college, he studied drama and went to the University of Miami, but never graduated. He left to pursue his career in acting.
While he waited for his career to improve, Stallone had to work all kinds of jobs in order to survive. At the Central Park Zoo, he had to clean lion cages, and at the same time, he took a role in The Party at Kitty and Stud’s, an adult movie. During 70’s, Stallone was struggling with the small roles and made uncredited parts in mainstream movies such as Bananas in 1971, which Woody Allen directed and soon followed the Klute. In 1974, an independent movie The Lords of Flatbush came out, and Stallone was acting together with Henry Winkler and Perry King.
In 1976 Rocky was released and became a huge hit. The film earned 10 Oscar nominees and brought fame to Silvester Stallone. This move has marked his career and made him successful beyond the boundaries. From this time, his career is only growing.
